This is the State of Alaska`s on-premise virtual server (cloud`s) located in OIT`s Anchorage and Juneau Data Centers. While this service was up for 99.98% of the fiscal year the applications that were hosted in Juneau were not available for a day and half (total of 38 hours) due to the fiber break in Juneau. As a result of this break the internet carrier has created a path and carrier diverse mesh that should prevent this sort of outage from happening again in the future. Because of the internet outage the overall hosted application availability was 99.78%. Target Last Modified: 09/29/2025

Target #1: myAlaska Logins/Unique Accounts Methodology: Number of login actions undertaken by users, and the number of unique usernames/accounts that logged on within that fiscal year. Target #1: Network Hub Availability Methodology: This data is sourced by the Entuity internet services monitoring application provided to OIT by our carrier that is contracted to provide internet services to the State of Alaska. The majority of these devices are in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau, but there are some hub distribution routers in other cities. For hub routers the internet service is provided by a dedicated circuit from the internet carrier. The availability is down over prior years. This is primarily due to the internet services being down to hub equipment in Juneau for 38 hours at the end of February. Target Last Modified: 09/29/2025

Target #2: Non-Hub Network Availability Methodology: This data is sourced by the Entuity internet services monitoring application provided to OIT by our carrier that is contracted to provide internet services to the State of Alaska. Non-Hub Network Availability Year Non-Hub 2025 99.73% 2024 99.80% 2023 99.84% 2022 99.77% 2021 99.79% 2020 99.94% 2019 99.57% 2018 99.57% 2017 99.85% 2016 99.55% 2015 99.63% Analysis of results and challenges: A non-hub network appliance is a piece of network equipment that feeds one individual executive branch office. The connectivity that feeds these non-hub locations could be a traditional dedicated circuit but in most locations` internet services are provided by a commercial grade service. The difference between a dedicated internet circuit provides guaranteed, symmetrical bandwidth with high reliability and uptime. In contrast, commercial internet services are shared, best-effort connections with variable performance and limited support. Because of this the uptimes and availability are generally less than the hub routers. The FY25 numbers are in line with prior years availability for non-hub services. This metric is down over prior years. This is due to one of the State of Alaska`s two internet ingress/egresses (Juneau) being down at the end of February for a day and half due to our contracted vendor`s regional fiber break. As a result of this break the carrier has created a path and carrier diverse mesh that should prevent this sort of outage from happening again in the future. Target Last Modified: 09/29/2025
