Percent of OSHA Federal Logs Sent by January 31st Deadline Fiscal Year % of Logs Sent FY 2024 85% FY 2023 70% Analysis of results and challenges: Accurate and timely reporting to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is critical to identifying and addressing State of Alaska (SOA) workplace safety hazards. This is a joint effort between the federal government, the Division of Personnel, and the Department of Labor to ensure SOA employees have safe work environments. Target Last Modified: 10/04/2024

Accurate and up-to-date position descriptions are a vital tool for agencies to execute the organization and reorganization of their positions, as well as ensure that employees are consistently performing the required tasks and get appropriately compensated for their work. Target #1: 60% of state employees participate in at least one training and/or learning opportunity per year within the AspireAlaska system. Fiscal Year FY 2024 63% FY 2023 50% Analysis of results and challenges: During FY2024, 63% of State of Alaska employees attended training and took advantage of learning Opportunities in the State"s learning and development system, AspireAlaska. This included our Learning and Development team delivering virtual/online courses as well as in-person instruction to all departments. Executive branch employees have completed over 74,000 hours of training in AspireAlaska within FY2024. Starting in FY2023, the division updated the metric for Learning and Development to report on the utilization of the AspireAlaska learning environment to include all Executive Branch employees, instead of limiting the measure to only supervisors. The primary challenges going forward will be continuing to deliver timely results despite a challenging candidate recruitment landscape, and in gaining participation from all state employees as new initiatives are rolled out to help fulfill Personnel`s mission.
