Performance Detail

Target #1: 80% of all Uniform Commercial Code filings submitted electronically Analysis of results and challenges: Online electronic filings provide efficiencies by allowing the customer to initiate the submission process and have immediate access to both the index and the document image. The target is to have 80% of all Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings submitted online a goal still to achieve. UCC Central successfully allowed programming that allows the UCC Central to accept attachments. With this advancement we expected to see more electronic filings sticking with the trends during 2020, however we did not see that happen in FY2022. We suspect that as people went back to work at the office they reverted to submitting filings by paper again. The division continues outreach to encourage frequent users to take advantage of the online system with the added advancements. Target Last Modified: 05/30/2024

Target #2: 70% of all Recorded documents submitted electronically Analysis of results and challenges: Electronic Recording (e-Recording) is a time saving and efficient system of recording, it allows the customer to initiate the online submission process and once accepted, have immediate access to the index as well as the document image. Increasing numbers of customers are using this service. As a result, there has been an increase in e-Recording vendors offering online electronic recording. The Recorder"s Office continues to move forward with additional vendors to develop the ability to accept multiple merchant submissions to increase e-Recording volumes, which will increase present staff productivity. Technology has improved over the last 20 years, allowing the ability to improve poor digital images with clearer versions. The division continues to discover and release historic documents that are not yet imaged and available on the public website, while enhancing and replacing illegible images.
