Target #1: Meet or exceed all Bureau of Labor Statistics program deliverable deadlines.

Federal deliverables are complex including six different federal-state cooperative statistical programs (Current Employment Statistics, Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, Local Area Unemployment Statistics, Occupational Employment Statistics, Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries, and Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses) and a large number of final and intermediate deadlines and deliverables. |

A2: Core Service - Maximize the accuracy of information produced. |
Target #1: Meet or exceed an 85 percent response rate on the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Annual Refiling Survey.
Analysis of results and challenges: Alaska continues to meet or exceed the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ target of 75 percent response rate. Alaska had the second highest response rate among all states in 2019. The Annual Refiling Survey (ARS) is the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) mechanism for maintaining current information in its sampling frame. Every year, state Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) offices mail ARS forms to approximately one-third of the Unemployment Insurance account holders in their states. These BLS-designed forms ask respondents to verify the business name, mailing address, physical location address, borough/census area, and economic activity for the location(s) in that state. Alaska regularly exceeds the BLS target response rate of 75 percent. |
